Dale Bone – Honorary Member

The late Mr Dale Bone is a Permanent Honorary Member of The SPOT Board Of Directors and a founding member.  He was a graduate of NC State School Of Agriculture majoring in Agro Economics. After college he proceeded to build a thriving agricultural / farming business.

Dale was philanthropic down to his very core.  He would not turn away helping anybody willing to help themselves. Dale was very active in the Wilson community as well as surrounding areas.  He was active with his beloved SPOT, Barton College, The Arts Council, and The Golden LEAF Foundation as well as many other organizations.

Dale's legacy will endure in the drive he instilled in key SPOT staff members. The SPOT is honored to carry on Dale's ambition and continue to build an organization that would make him proud.

Marvin Coghill – Honorary Member

Marvin Coghill retired from the tobacco industry where he was involved in most every aspect of the trade.  Marvin's generosity was legendary and that was no exception with The SPOT.  Marvin was always asking how he can help and so many times especially in times of crisis Marvin was simply there. His generosity was easily outmatched by his humble nature.  Marvin's character is now deeply rooted in The SPOT and will live on through the organization he helped found.

Marvin was and still is married in spirit to Ms Anne Coghill.  Their love for each other was palatable.  Their relationship was an example for all in relation to the institution of marriage and how is should be.
